JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking to recruit a Consultant PICU with 3 to 4 years of experience
Job Purpose –
Admits, evaluates, assists patients and decide whether they need ICU admission or not.
Accompanies patients while they are carrying out an investigative procedure such as CT scan etc.
Teaching Medical students and junior doctors, researching and auditing.
Performs in-patients and outpatient duties.
Oversees junior staff in the ICU.
Observes junior staff during procedures.
Performs rounds seeing patients with the departmental team, which includes residents; directing them and teaching them simultaneously.
Must be able to write transfer notes to other wards in the hospital.
Contributes in on-call roster for the PICU.
Liaises with: patients, families, medical staff, nursing staff, other clinical staff, referring doctors.
Ensure patient care or treatment is delegated to a suitable qualified, experienced individual with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide the care or treatment involved.
REQUIREMENTS
Medical Degree and specialisation in PICU recognised by the Dubai Health Authority
Minimum of three years’ experience as Consultant PICU since gaining higher qualification.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other Clinic staff.
Publication of scientific paper in peer review journals or accepted research

CCST (certificate of completion of specialist training)
Facharzt
American Board
Canada – Fellowship of the Royal Colleges
European Board
Ireland – CCST or CCT
Australian or NZ fellowship
CIS (French Board)
South Africa – Fellowship of Specialty Colleges
