Our client is a modern, multi-specialty 127 bed medical facility, and is expanding its Endocrinology services and is looking to hire an established and experienced Endocrinologist to join its highly talented team. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Consultant Endocrinologist will –
Provide Clinical consultations and physical examinations of patients, the post holder is expected in providing comprehensive consultant level patient care in Endocrinology services.
Participates in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the Endocrinology service
Participates equitably in the on-call roster and participates in the oversight and professional development of any junior medical staff in the department.
Participates in activities and opportunities to promote the Endocrinology service and the Hospital.
Required to be involved in non-clinical hospital matters and the care of any patient when required.
Responsible for compliance to the ethical and professional standards set by the clinic and regulatory authorities
Adhere to a high standard of clinical consultations and physical examinations.
When required, ensure patient care or treatment is delegated to a suitable qualified, experienced individual with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide the care or treatment involved.
Fulfills professional requirements for continuing education and competence in all aspects of Endocrinology.
Liaises effciently with patients, families, medical staff, nursing staff, other clinical staff, referring doctors
REQUIREMENTS
MBBS / MBChB or equivalent from a recognized medical school.
Completion of a recognised higher professional education programme as recognized by the Dubai Health Authority.
Fellowship or Board certification in Endocrinology, or equivalent
Special expertise and interest in Diabetes will be a definite advantage.
Proven experience in Endocrinology practice
Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education.
Personal and leadership skills appropriate for a highly functioning clinical team.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other Clinic staff.
Publication in peer reviewed journals is desirable
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years relevant experience at an appropriate level, and in an appropriate field, since gaining higher qualification.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education.
Demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement for better health outcomes
Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic language skills are well regarded)
High level of verbal and written communication skills
High level of interpersonal and organisational skills
Strong computer literacy
Publications in peer reviewed journals are an added advantage.
